In November 2020, Melvyn Darmanin joined NOUV’s Advisory Department as Senior Manager. Melvyn graduated from the University of Malta in 2007, with a degree in Management with Honours. While employed within the public sector at the National Audit Office, where he gained considerable experience in audit related work, he also read for a Master of Science Degree in Financial Management from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
Before joining NOUV, Melvyn was employed at a mid-tier accounting and audit firm, where he progressed from a Supervisory position to Senior Manager, leading and coordinating strategy setting, operational and financial restructuring, internal audits, and corporate finance. He has also been responsible for the development of financial models and preparation of feasibility studies, business plans, valuations, and procuring bank financing for companies operating in various industries such as real estate, construction, manufacturing, wholesale and retail, healthcare and long-term care and hospitality.
In his roles, he has been also actively involved in the compilation of due diligence reporting for public bonds for a number of companies, has managed internal audit engagements and set up internal control systems based on IPPF standards. Melvyn has also obtained an Award in Internal Auditing and is currently an approved internal auditor for gaming and VFA regulated entities.
