If you completed the Energy Auditor – REWS Approved course in 2015, your certification will expire in 2025. Completing the mandatory Energy Auditor Refresher course to stay compliant and legally listed on the REWS Competent Persons Register is required to have a new certificate issued.

If you fail to renew, you’ll be delisted from the REWS Competent Persons Register, meaning entities that have legal obligations to do them, cannot use your services for their energy audits. Hence, renewal is not just an administrative step, it’s how you ensure your skills and methods stay aligned with approved updated standards.

About the Energy Auditor Refresher course

Delivered by NOUV Academy, this 12-hour classroom-based course is designed for certified Energy Auditors who are due for renewal in 2025. The training covers:

  • What makes a valid and effective energy audit
  • Common audit mistakes to avoid
  • Updated techniques in audit planning, data collection and reporting
  • Real-world case studies and peer-based discussions
  • Alignment with S.L. 545.33 and 20223 EWA Guidelines

You’ll leave with practical insights; improved techniques and the competence you need to continue your work legally and effectively.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for the refresher course, you must have:
