EXTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER
NOUV, MRO Frank Galea Road, Zebbug
This is a role for professionals with at least 5 years proven experience in external auditing and 2 years in a similar position. Candidates shall be in possession of a professional qualification; ACCA or a recognised University Degree in Accountancy. The following are the responsibilities and duties for this role and also the required skills set.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, to deliver high quality audit services, focusing on risk assessment, financial reporting and complex accounting judgements, whilst ensuring that key deadlines are met.
- Mentoring and reviewing the performance of junior team members, providing technical expertise, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Being involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients along with building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of the team’s technical abilities.
- Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues.
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Proficient in GAPSME, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards;
- Experience in consolidations;
- Ability to identify, report and handle sensitive issues;
- Capable of working within a team, manage multiple engagements and working to demanding deadlines;
- Smart, highly motivated, well presented individual with an eye for detail;
- Organisational and communication skills and ability to multitask;
- Fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).
