The theoretical part of the training will cover:
- Legal obligations local and EU (includes hazards, risks, and economic costs)
- Planning for spill response with focus on preventative measures
- Spill site management: assessing hazards and associated risks at incident site, spill response equipment selection
- Choosing the right safety equipment & PPE for personal protection
- Incident reporting and authorities’ notifications
- Disposal of contaminated waste & site remediation
- Training will end with a practical exercise
