EXTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

This is a role for professionals with at least 5 years proven experience in external auditing and 2 years in a similar position. Candidates shall be in possession of a professional qualification; ACCA or a recognised University Degree in Accountancy. The following are the responsibilities and duties for this role and also the required skills set.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, to deliver high quality audit services, focusing on risk assessment, financial reporting and complex accounting judgements, whilst ensuring that key deadlines are met.
• Mentoring and reviewing the performance of junior team members, providing technical expertise, and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Being involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients along with building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of the team’s technical abilities.
• Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues.

PERSONAL SKILLS

• Proficient in GAPSME, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards;
• Experience in consolidations;
• Ability to identify, report and handle sensitive issues;
• Capable of working within a team, manage multiple engagements and working to demanding deadlines;
• Smart, highly motivated, well presented individual with an eye for detail;
• Organisational and communication skills and ability to multitask;
• Fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).
