ASSOCIATE ADVISOR – SUSTAINABILITY
We are looking for a driven Associate Advisor to be an integral part of our fantastic Sustainability team. Within this role, you will predominantly be assisting clients with the planning and implementation of Environmental, Energy, as well as Health & Safety Management systems based on established standards or codes of practice (such as ISO 14001, 50001 and 45001) and relevant audits and assessments to meet relevant international standards’ requirements. You will also be assisting clients with any advisory needed to improve existing environmental, energy and health and safety systems. We will support the right candidate to reach the performance levels that our clients expect and achieve the job satisfaction you deserve.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To understand, learn and implement world-class Standards (including but not limited to ISO-based Standards) to enhance internal competence and flexibility and to relay this knowledge to our clients.
- To carry out audits, company diagnostics, risk assessments, and measurably increase the market share of the company in this area.
- To engage in change management projects to help clients improve their current state with regards to various aspects such as environmental and energy management, Occupational Health & Safety, environment and ESG, amongst others.
- To carry out Occupational Health & Safety risk assessments in line with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- To advise clients on local legal requirements on Environment, Energy and H&S.
- To take up other client assignments related to Sustainability.
- To take up strategic and operational assignments in order to improve and enhance processes, systems and governance at clients to fine tune their impact on people and planet.
- To research new methodologies, standards and best practices relevant to the subject area and share with the team and Manager for approval.
- To take on continuous professional development and share knowledge within the Advisory Pillar for capacity building.
- To organise, manage and proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to Manager.
- To maintain continuous and excellent communication with clients.
- To help the Sustainability team within the Advisory Pillar in finding new and innovative avenues and contributing to its business development.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Work experience in Environment, H&S or Energy
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent is desirable but not required
- Energy Auditor’s Certificate is desirable but not required;
