COURSE OUTLINES
Who Should Attend?
Employees from technical departments in the organisation with a good understanding of technical issues, skills and competencies and a strong academic basis in English, Mathematics and Physics.
For quality assurance purposes, attendance is limited to a maximum of 15 participants per course or session. Applications are accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Terms and conditions apply.
Course Objectives
The course aims to develop the competence, knowledge, and skills necessary to carry out energy audits using recognised methodologies and in line with applicable regulatory requirements. Learners will gain the theoretical foundation needed to interpret relevant standards and apply systematic auditing processes.
Skills and Competencies
Participants will develop the ability to collect and analyse energy data, evaluate building systems, and identify areas for improved efficiency. Emphasis is placed on structured problem-solving, critical evaluation, and the preparation of clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Certification
Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance and be listed of the REWS website as an approved Energy Auditor.

- A Bachelor’s Degree at MQF Level 6 with a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent in Environmental Science, Built Environment Studies, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related applied field; OR
- A Master’s Degree at MQF Level 7 with a minimum of 120 ECTS or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Where applicable, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be considered in accordance with the Institute’s MFHEA-approved RPL Policy
