We’re thrilled to share some great news that will enhance your experience with the Get Qualified initiative!
NOUV Academy is happy to announce the re-launch of the Get Qualified [2026] programme, administered by Malta Enterprise. This refreshed scheme continues to support your personal and professional growth by helping you recover a significant portion of your study costs through tax credits — now better aligned with Malta’s long-term skills development goals and industry needs.
Key Improvements to the Scheme
The updated programme introduces several enhancements designed to make participation easier, more flexible, and more rewarding:
- Extended duration: The scheme now runs until 31 December 2030, allowing for longer-term study planning.
- Shorter application window: Claims must now be submitted within 12 months of course completion (previously two years).
- Extra incentives for STEM qualifications: Additional support is available for those pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, key sectors for Malta’s economic growth.
- Support for doctoral studies: Individuals completing PhD or Level 8 qualifications can now claim more benefits.
- Flexible tax credit usage: Tax credits can now be applied over a 15-year period.
- Course allowance: You may receive support for up to four courses within any rolling five-year period.
- Calculation method: Credits are now calculated based on ECTS credits or learning hours.
The core benefit remains strong: successful participants can claim a tax credit covering 70% of eligible tuition and related costs, subject to the applicable caps for each MQF level. Eligibility continues to focus on recognised qualifications at MQF Level 3 or higher, or case-by-case approval for specialised non-rated training relevant to industry needs.
Applications must be submitted via the Get Qualified Portal using your e-ID: http://getqualified.maltaenterprise.com
What This Means for You
These updates demonstrate a strong commitment to making quality education more affordable and aligned with skills that employers value.
The one-year application window highlights the importance of planning ahead and submitting claims promptly after completing your courses. However, the longer scheme duration, increased course allowance, and extra STEM incentives make it even more worthwhile to invest in your learning journey.
We encourage all current and prospective students to review the official guidelines on the Malta Enterprise website and see how these changes can benefit your studies. Many of our programmes are well-positioned to qualify under the scheme.
Stay motivated and seize this opportunity! With the newly re-launched Get Qualified scheme offering greater flexibility, stronger incentives for STEM fields, and extended support up to 2030, now is the perfect time to invest in your future.
